PROJECT ENGINEER

JOB Description:

Design, code, develop, implement and maintain systems, programs and web applications according to project requirements. Interact with existing customers and end-users to identify customer's specifications and relevant requirements based on the analysis of product features and interfaces. Modify existing software applications & systems to suit customer requirements and specialized accessibility requirements and other needs of the academic/university markets.

Evaluate and determine software technologies (Open Source, Microsoft, Java etc.), analyze and design relational databases (oracle, SQL Server, MySQL etc.) and hardware requirements to suit product development requirements of different projects.

Analyze different data transfer approaches for sharing data and potentially integration of products with enterprise resource planning, SCM, EAI and other third-party packages.

Coordinate user acceptance tests and resolve issues that may arise.

40hr/wk, 8-5pm. Some travel. Salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Communications Engineering/Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of experience with progressively increasing responsibility.

Requirements:

Technologies: ASP.net, C#.net, Java, Ajax, SQL server. MySQL, VB6, other .net applications.

Experience developing products for the educational market, enterprise resource management software for mid-markets and integrating with SAP, Oracle, Banner & other campus management software is desirable.
